LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested two panhandlers after they gave people on a ghost run more scares than they bargained for.

According to arrest reports, 43-year-old David Wayne Smith and 34-year-old Shontae Bishop were following and harassing a group of people who were participating in the 4th Street Live! Ghost Run just before 7 p.m. Thursday.

Police say the suspects were asking for money and "making disparaging comments towards the females in the group."

According to the arrest reports, several in the group got scared and ran into a restaurant. Employees of the restaurant then called police.

Police say they were only a block away and were able to arrest both suspects quickly. They were charged with disorderly conduct -- a misdemeanor.
