LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police say they've arrested a Bonnieville, Ky. man after he was found driving with a dead woman in the passenger seat of his car.

According to an arrest report, Lebanon Junction Police stopped 37-year-old Jason R. Davis as he was driving his silver 2003 Ford Taurus in the area of Lebanon Junction, around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police say Davis told an officer that the woman in the passenger seat of his vehicle was dead. Davis allegedly admitted that the two of them had met in Larue County and used methamphetamines just minutes before the victim became violently ill.

Davis did not seek medical treatment for her, according to the arrest report, and she eventually died. Police say Davis was aware that the woman was dead for several hours before he was stopped by Lebanon Junction Police.

Police say they found two syringes inside the vehicle.

Davis was arrested. Kentucky State Police charged him with second degree manslaughter, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, failure to report the death of a person and possession of drug paraphernalia.
