LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A pedestrian was taken to University Hospital after he was pinned under a train Monday night. LMPD says the man is expected to survive.

Police spokesperson Dwight Mitchell says a white male was on the railroad tracks and remained there when he was hit by the train.

Dispatchers say the incident was reported just before nine near a railroad crossing on New Cut Road. Police say it happened on the tracks just behind the Kroger at 5533 New Cut Road.
