LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Shively Police arrested a man after they say he struck a man with a vehicle, briefly pinning the victim against the wall of a building.

Anthony Carter, 37, was arrested Monday afternoon on Gagel Avenue near Hazelwood Avenue, in the Cloverleaf area, after officials say he struck a man with a black Kia and trapped him between the car and a building.

Police say Carter and the victim got into an argument after Carter almost hit the victim as Carter was trying to cut through a parking lot.

Police records state the victim was walking away from the argument when Carter hit him with the Kia. Police say the victim was able to get out from between the car and the building and that both Carter and the victim then engaged in a physical altercation.

Police arrested Carter and charged him with assault, wanton endangerment, criminal mischief and operating a vehicle with an expired license.
