LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two Radcliff residents are facing charges after police say they criminally abused a one-year-old.

According to the Radcliff Police Department, the crime took place on Oct. 10. Police say 25-year-old Reshunda Body went shopping with her sister around 3 p.m., leaving her three children -- ages 1, 3 and 4 -- in the care of 32-year-old Ephron Lancaster.

When Body returned home at 4:30 p.m., police say Lancaster left to go to work. A short time later, Body said the one-year-old came out of the room "with a sour look on his face" and a bruise on the right side of his face. When Body asked the children what happened to the one-year-old, one of the boy's siblings told her Lancaster had hit the boy in the face.

The child was taken to the hospital, where it was determined that he had a large bruise on the right side of his face and on the left side of his forehead. Police say the boy also had "some blood in his left earlobe, and healing non-displaced transverse fracture to distal mataphysis of the right tibia and fibula."

"This was determined not to be a classic toddler's fracture," police say in the arrest warrant.

A warrant was issued for the arrests of both Body and Lancaster on Monday, and both were taken into custody. They are both charged with first degree criminal abuse of a child under 12.
