Greg Stumbo outlines priorities after Democrats hold majority in Kentucky House

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Democrats have held on to their majority in the Kentucky House.

On Wednesday, House Speaker Greg Stumbo, flanked by other Democratic members, thanked voters for rejecting the Republican push to take over the State House.

When all the votes were counted, the margin was as it was before: 54 Democrats and 46 Republicans.

Stumbo says Republicans were not able to link state Democrats to President Obama. He added that economic issues such as raising the minimum wage will be among his priorities for the 2015 session, and he promised a close look at the Local Option Sales Tax.

He says expanded gaming and tax reform will be lower on the priority list.
