Louisville Metro Police charge man with attempted murder after shooting his girlfriend

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police arrested a man and charged him with attempted murder after they say he shot his girlfriend.

Ramon Lindsay, 38, allegedly shot his girlfriend on Oct. 18 on Bells Lane. Police say Lindsay shot the victim in the chest and thigh with a .45 caliber handgun during an argument.

LMPD's Viper Unit arrested Lindsay in the 3900 block of Bantam Court, near Watterson Park and Newburg Road. 

Police records state that the victim was taken to U of L Hospital following the shooting and underwent surgery.

Lindsay is also charged with assault and handgun possession by a convicted felon. He is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
