LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Louisville man pulled a gun and robbed a man soliciting for a church -- but all he got for his trouble was $3 and a trip to jail.

According to an arrest report, it happened on Oct. 20 on Bardstown Road, near S. Hurstbourne Parkway, just after 4 p.m.

Police say 24-year-old Christopher Shoulders called the church solicitor over to his vehicle, pointed a handgun at him and told him to give him his money.

When the man was only able to provide $3, police say Shoulders "became irate," then said, "I will spare you this time," and drove away.

The victim was later able to identify Shoulders via an image, according to police.

Shoulders was arrested on Nov. 10 and charged with first degree robbery.
