LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Police have arrested two people following an armed robbery and police pursuit that happened Wednesday morning, according to LMPD Public Information Officer Dwight Mitchell.

Authorities say the robbery happened at the Subway located at 7001 Global Drive at about 10:30 a.m.

Police say one male suspect entered the store and demanded cash, saying he had a weapon. Police say the suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a vehicle.

Authorities were alerted to the robbery and were able to locate the suspects' vehicle, based on description.

Police say the two suspects were taken into custody near the area of Dixie Highway and Ralph Avenue in Shively.
