Retired female jockey to be honored by Churchill Downs

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- She's already made history at the age of 26. Now a retired female jockey is preparing for another honor.

Churchill Downs plans to honor Rosie Napravnik this week for her accomplishments, including becoming the first and only female rider to win the Kentucky Oaks.

She will be honored in a special ceremony on Saturday after the sixth race, which is being called The Run for Rosie.

She won the Oaks in 2012, and again this year.

Napravnik is pregnant, and retired on Nov. 1.
