Floyd County implementing changes after Election Day snafu

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --  Floyd Country has a fix in the works after computer glitches on Election Day led to long lines for voters.

The long lines left voters frustrated, with some waiting more than two hours to cast a ballot. This week the county clerk revealed a five-point plan to improve the process.

It includes public hearings, meetings with the poll supervisors, and seeking accountability from the company that built the electronic voting machines.

The computers were new and some did not work properly. The problems backed up several vote centers, and caused some to delay opening.

The Election Board will then approve a new business plan for elections.

No timeline was set.
