POLICE: Teen arrested after breaking into Louisville elementary school

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police arrested a teen after they say he was caught breaking into a Louisville middle school.

Fred Amos, 18, was arrested Saturday just after 4 a.m., after authorities say he broke into the Kennedy Montessori Elementary School, located at 3800 Gibson Lane, near Southern Avenue and Russell Lee Park.

Police say they arrived at the school and found Amos inside, according to police records.

An arrest report states that Amos fled from police after they instructed him to stop. Police say they were able to apprehend Amos after a short foot chase.

Amos had a digital camera and other electronics in his possession when police caught up with him, according to the arrest report.

He is charged with burglary and fleeing from police.
