LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Taylorsville man has been arrested after authorities say he sexually abused a 16-year-old girl.

According to an arrest warrant, the incident took place on Nov. 14 at a home on Cotton Lane, near Little Union Road, in Taylorsville, Ky. Authorities say the 16-year-old went to the home to visit a friend.

Aaron Goodlett, age 34, was also staying at the home, according to the warrant.

Goodlett allegedly sent the teen a text message asking "U wanna mess around" and adding that he could "make u feel better than good." He then gave the teen marijuana and alcohol, according to the warrant.

Afterward, authorities say he began to fondle her sexually, despite the fact that she told him to stop.

Eventually, the 16-year-old's friend got her away from Goodlett and they walked more than three miles to the victim's home in Cox's Creek.

A warrant was issued for Goodlett's arrest on Nov. 17 and the Spencer County Sheriff's Office took him into custody later that day. He is charged with first degree sexual abuse, engaging in an unlawful transaction with a minor and engaging in the prohibited use of an electronic communications system to procure a minor for sexual purposes.

He is currently being held in the Shelby County Detention Center.
