LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man after they say he broke into a home, but was caught and held captive by the home's owner.

Derrick Mosley, 22, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the 5600 block of Shepherdsville Road, near Rangeland Road, after police say he and a juvenile accomplice broke into a home. Authorities state that the homeowner came home and found the two suspects and held them at gunpoint until police arrived.

Police say the suspects were attempting to steal clothing, electronics and a gun when the homeowner showed up. According to police, Mosley was holding the gun he was trying to steal at the time he was caught by the homeowner, who then pulled another weapon and pointed it at Mosley and his accomplice.

Mosley was arrested and charged with burglary.
