Columbus, Ind. police asking parents to watch out for 'wax'

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana police department is asking parents to pay attention to a new drug that's starting to show up in the community.

Columbus, Indiana Police confiscated small amounts of what's called "wax" on two separate occasions last week.

Wax is also called butter or honey, street names for a very potent form of marijuana.

It's made from removing the THC drug from marijuana leaves and the end result is a substance that looks like lip balm or caramel.

Wax is usually smoked using an electronic cigarette.

You're asked to contact Columbus Police if you see the drug.
