LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A Scottsburg, Indiana woman was arrested after officials say she tried to enter a government building in downtown Louisville with concealed illegal drugs.

According to an arrest report, Tina Terry, 29, was arrested Thursday night, after police say she tried to enter Louisville Metro Corrections, located at 400 South 6th Street, while she had a substance suspected to be heroin hidden in her private area.

Officials say Terry passed through a body scanner and an "anomaly" was visible in her groin area. Terry told officers that she had a tampon inserted in her private area.

Police say Terry eventually pulled out a small bag of what officers suspected was heroin.

Terry was arrested and is charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and promoting contraband.
