LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested four suspects after a discount store was robbed earlier this week.

According to the arrest report, it happened Nov. 19 at the Family Dollar at 6312 Greenwood Road near Cane Run Road and I-264. Police say 25-year-old Jessica Ashford, an assistant manager at the store, helped plan the robbery along with 21-year-old Sean Taylor, 19-year-old Damon Griffin, and 21-year-old Darrell Hubert.

Police say Ashford's accomplices entered the store with guns as Ashford and another employee were preparing to close around 10 p.m. According to the arrest report, police determined through investigation that Ashford was the girlfriend of one of the men, and had opened the safe before they entered the store, "making it easier for them to take the cash."

During the robbery, police say one of the suspects forced another uninvolved employee to the floor at gunpoint. Police say another suspect "grabbed that employee by the hair and kicked her in the back, causing pain."

The suspects were arrested early Thursday in the 4000 block of Cane Run Road.

Police say Ashford gave police a taped statement admitting that she planned and helped carry out the robbery.

All four suspects are charged with first degree robbery. They're being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $50,000 cash bond.
