SOUTH BEND, Ind., (WDRB) — The annual football rivalry game between the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky will be played Saturday at noon in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, the ACC announced Saturday night.

It will be televised on ESPN2.

The game was placed on a “six-day hold” by ESPN, along with five other rivalry games involving ACC and Southeastern Conference teams, after last weekend.

It will be played for the first time at the end of the season this year, after being at the beginning of the season, with a few exceptions, since its modern inception.

U of L (8-3) is coming off a dramatic 31-28 win at Notre Dame. UK (5-6) is coming off a lopsided loss at Tennessee, and has had an extra week to prepare.

After the Notre Dame game, U of L coach Bobby Petrino was asked if he thought he'd have any trouble getting his team ready of the game.

Petrino smiled and said, “We'll be ready for that game.”
