LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man who they say drove into a home while he was intoxicated.

David Nett, 22, was arrested Saturday just after 4:30 a.m., after police say he drove a car into a house in the 700 block of Old Harrods Creek Road, near the intersection of Booker Road and Plainview Avenue.

Police records state that when officers arrived they found Nett standing outside the vehicle talking to the home's residents, who were inside the house at the time of the crash. Police did not say if anyone was injured as a result of the crash.

Officials say the "entire engine compartment" of the car had entered the home.

Police say Nett had a strong scent of alcohol on his breath, but that he denied consuming any alcohol. He also was unable to successfully complete multiple field sobriety tests.

According to police documents, Nett's breath test produced results of 0.219. Officials say he refused to take a blood alcohol test.

Police have charged Nett with DUI and wanton endangerment.
