Louisville Metro Police investigating fatal Hasbrook Drive shooting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Investigators with Louisville Metro Police are looking for answers after a man was found dead, according to LMPD Public Information Officer Dwight Mitchell.

Police responded to a call in the 5600 block of Hasbrook Drive, near the intersection of 1st Street and Ginger Road, late Sunday afternoon. Police report that a black male was found dead inside a home from a gunshot wound.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office says the victim is 59-year-old Hoyle Strickland. He was pronounced dead at four p.m. due to a gunshot wound.

LMPD is currently searching for the person or persons responsible for the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police. 

Funeral arrangements for Strickland are still pending.
