Louisville man charged with impersonating a police officer

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A Louisville man has been arrested for impersonating a police officer in Jeffersonville, Ind.

Around 3:45 a.m. on Nov. 29, an Indiana State Police trooper stopped Andrew Glover, 33, conducting an investigation for driving while intoxicated near Spring and Eighth Street in Jeffersonville.

Glover told the trooper that he was am LMPD detective, and he was in possession of a police scanner, two handguns and a police badge. 

The trooper contacted LMPD dispatch to confirm, only to find out he was not a sworn police officer.

Glover was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated, impersonating a police officer and possession of a police radio.

He is being held in the Clark County Jail.
