Metro Louisville report card shows 8 percent increase in Jefferson Co. foreclosures

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A new report card for Metro Louisville focuses on fair and affordable housing.

The Metropolitan Housing Coalition examines everything from homelessness to the living wage.

Their reports shows an eight percent increase in foreclosures in Jefferson County since 2012; 

Nearly 18,000 people are on a waiting list for Section 8 housing. 

And nearly 7,000 homeless students were listed in JCPS for the last school year.

Also, the living wage calculation in Louisville for one adult with one child is $17.27 per hour.

It jumps to about $21.50 for two kids.
