LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police arrested a man who they say drove under the influence, while a small child was present in the car.

Alpha Nsana, 46, was arrested on Saturday on Bluegrass Avenue, after police say he drove while intoxicated as he was traveling on Bluegrass Avenue, toward Taylor Boulevard, according to an official arrest report.

LMPD records indicate that an unrestrained 10-week-old infant was in the car with him.

Officials say Nsana did not stop for two blocks as they attempted to pull him over.

Police documents say that once officers did make contact with Nsana, they smelled a strong scent of alcohol on his breath. Officials also state that Nsana was unable to pass multiple field sobriety tests.

According to police, a breathalyzer test from Nsana gave a result of .116. Investigators report that Nsana told them he had consumed three Budweisers before getting behind the wheel of the car.

Police have charged Nsana with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and a booster seat violation.
