New city sign causes controversy in Seymour, Indiana

Posted: Updated:
SEYMOUR, IN. (WDRB) - A new City of Seymour sign is creating some buzz among locals there, mainly because of its price tag.

The 13-foot sign cost $1 million.

Seymour Mayor Craig Luedeman tells WDRB the sign was paid for with a state grant. He says he wants it to catch the eye of drivers, welcoming them to the city.

However, some Seymour residents tell WDRB they think the sign was too expensive and looks like graffiti.
