Runners in Christmas garb race to benefit Gilda's Club Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - If you were at Iroquois Park on Sunday morning, you may have seen some unusual sights.

Hundreds of Santas and Elves ran through the park and made their way across the finish line for the Go Santa Go 5K.

Runners wore their best red and green attire complete with festive socks, hats and tutus.

"Well my mom told me it was kind of festive so I found pretty much everything red or green that I could wear," said Brianna Wolken, who ran in the race.

Today's 5K benefits Gilda's Club of Louisville, a non-profit organization that supports people affected by cancer.

Children's toys were also collected at the run.
