LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend appeared in court Monday.

Deshon Dorsey, 26, is accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend, 24-year-old Porcia Mills, at her apartment near Churchill Downs.

Dorsey is charged with murder, domestic violence, and wanton endangerment. A judge set his bond at $75,000 cash and entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.

Both the victim's and the suspect's family's were at the arraignment.

Police say Mills had broken up with Dorsey, and he was in the process of moving out when he stabbed her multiple times.

Mills' 2-year-old son was found unharmed inside the apartment.

Dorsey is due back in court on Dec. 29.
