LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Gallopalooza is back and this time it's with a bourbon twist.

The large statues of horses are returning to Louisville's sidewalks and street corners.

New statues were introduced for the sidewalk derby on Monday morning.

Displays includes a miniature horse standing atop a bourbon barrel and a giant Julep Cup.

This is the third year for the public art project.

"After the project, we use the money raised from the sale of these to permanently beautify the community through landscape projects, as well as a special LED project on the Big Four Pedestrian Bridge," said Lynn Huffman, Gallopalooza's Executive Director.

In the past, over 350 artists from seven different states have created horse statues for the event.
