BOZICH | Kentucky achieves complete (65 for 65) perfection in AP poll

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – The only thing that stopped the University of Kentucky basketball team from reaching complete perfection in the Associated Press college basketball Top 25 poll last week was not anything the Wildcats did on the court.

It was the forgetfulness of one voter who did not submit his ballot. So John Calipari's team earned 64 of 64 first-place votes.

This week nobody forgot – and the Wildcats took it up a notch, earning all 65 votes.

UK is followed by Duke and then Arizona. Louisville, despite its shaky game against North Carolina Wilmington Sunday, remained at number four.
