LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested three suspects after a shotgun was fired at a home in west Louisville on Monday night.

According to the arrest report, it happened in the 1900 block of Baird Street, near Bank Street around 7 p.m. on Dec. 15. That's where police were sent on reports that a "car pulled up in front of location and shot towards the house."

Police stopped the suspects' vehicle about a block from the scene. Three people were in the vehicle, including the driver, 19-year-old Joshua L. Young, and two passengers -- 20-year-old Steven Harris and 18-year-old Dakota Allen.

Witnesses told police that Young aimed a 12-gauge shotgun at the home and fired one round toward the home before the weapon jammed. Police say the shotgun, which was still loaded, was in plain view in the backseat of the vehicle.

Police say Young was trying to shoot his girlfriend's husband, and that the shooting was "in retaliation to a verbal confrontation."

As police were arresting Young, they found a "marijuana joint" in his hat, and a bag of marijuana in his front left pocket.

Young is charged with wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana and driving without a license. He's being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $10,000 full cash bond.

Allen and Harris were both charged with one count of wanton endangerment. Their bond was set at $5,000 cash.
