LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man who they say burglarized a home and committed armed robbery.

Lavon Brown, 22, was arrested Monday afternoon, in the 600 block of Heywood Avenue, between South 6th and Rodman Streets, after police say he broke into a home on Dec. 2.

Police records state that Brown went to the victim's door and knocked, but was refused entry by the person inside. Authorities say Brown then kicked in the door, forcing his way into the house.

Once inside, officials say Brown placed a gun to the victim's head and demanded cash.

The victim contacted police, but Brown got away before officers arrived. Investigators say that Brown has returned to the victim's home since the robbery, but runs away when police are called.

Brown is charged with burglary and wanton endangerment. He is being held on a $5,000 cash bond.
