LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A Louisville woman has agreed to serve 50 years in prison for the murder of her grandmother.

Ellen Crawley, 23, was facing multiple charges including murder, abuse of a corpse and robbery.

Investigators say Crawley had a fight with her grandmother, 62-year-old Mary McClain, and then killed her.

Officials say she moved the body multiple times in an effort to hide the murder.

Authorities say that at one point, Crawley placed McClain's remains in a trash can.

Rather than go to trial, Crawley accepted a plea deal, which means she'll serve 50 years behind bars.
