Southern Kentucky drug bust nets 19 suspects

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Officials in southern Kentucky have arrested several individuals for various drug offenses.

"Operation Christmas Vacation" is a joint task force made up of authorities from the FBI, Bowling Green Police, Kentucky State Police, ATF and Warren County Sheriff's Department.

The task force says it will arrest a total of 19 people. The suspects have been charged with a total of 39 drug felonies. Eleven suspects are charge with being a persistent felony drug offender. Sixteen people are also charged with engaging in organized crime. 

A news release states that officials from the FBI, Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force, Columbia Appalachia HIDTA Task Force and LMPD began an investigation into drug trafficking in January.

Investigators say several suspects were dealing in drugs, including cocaine, heroin, marijuana, prescription pills, and synthetic marijuana in the area of Bowling Green.

"The FBI remains committed to working with its state and local partners to safeguard families throughout Kentucky and these types of arrests are part of our statewide fight against drugs and the cycle of violence that goes hand in hand with drug trafficking,” said Howard Marshall, Special Agent in Charge of the Louisville Division of the FBI.


Twelve of the 19 suspects have been arrested, according to authorities. The remaining seven suspects' names have not been released yet, as their indictments are currently sealed, according to Thomas M. Loving, Director of the Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force.

The following suspects are being held in the Warren County Jail:

  • Charles D. Boyd, 39, of Auburn, Ky. - He's charged with engaging in organized crime.
  • Michael Andre Brown, 41, of Bowling Green, Ky. - He's charged with engaging in organized crime.
  • Steven Brown, 43, of Bowling Green, Ky. - He's charged with engaging in organized crime.
  • Myles Forrest, 27, of Bowling Green, Ky. - He's charged with engaging in organized crime, trafficking in a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
  • Thomas Hampton, 41, of Bowling Green, Ky. - He's charged with engaging in organized crime, trafficking in a controlled substance, marijuana trafficking, being a persistent felony offender and identity theft.
  • Jerome Inmon, 25, of Bowling Green, Ky. - He's charged with engaging in organized crime and being a persistent felony offender.
  • Frederick Miller, 56, of Bowling Green, Ky. - He's charged with engaging in organized crime and being a persistent felony offender.
  • Andrew Stafford, 29, of Bowling Green, Ky. - He's charged with engaging in organized crime, marijuana trafficking and being a persistent felony offender.
  • Robert Windham II, 37, of Bowling Green, Ky. - He's charged with engaging in organized crime and being a persistent felony offender.

Ashley Crawhorn, 21, and Kenneth McAllister, 26, both of Columbia, Ky., are being held at the jail in Columbia, Kentucky on charges of marijuana trafficking and trafficking in a controlled substance. McAllister is also charged with being a persistent felony offender.

Ellis Parker, 32, is being held by authorities in Clarksville, TN, on a charge of engaging in organized crime.
