LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Louisville man ran over the person who filed an EPO against him.

According to the arrest report, it happened around 9 p.m. on Dec. 17 in the 4100 block of West Broadway. That's where police say 23-year-old Kendy Laurent started chasing the victim, doing a U-turn on Broadway and driving through a yard.

The arrest report says the "victim was struck by the vehicle and also appears to have been driven over."

Police say the victim was thrown into the air and landed on the concrete street. The victim was hospitalized with a broken pelvis, broken leg, and possible internal bleeding.

Court documents state that the victim had filed an EPO against Laurent on Dec. 15, ordering Laurent to stay at least 500 feet from the victim.

Laurent was arrested at his home in the 100 block of Southview Square about an hour after the alleged incident. He's facing several charges, including two counts of wanton endangerment, two counts of assault, and violating an EPO.

Laurent remains jailed at Metro Corrections on a $35,000 cash bond.
