LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville firefighter is injured during a Christmas Day fire in the Park Hill neighborhood.

Just after 9:20 a.m., crews responded to a home near the corner of 15th and Dumesnil Street.

Firefighters say they don't believe someone was living at the home on Dumesnil Street at the time.

The fire started in a rear bedroom and there was heavy fire and smoke when crews arrived.

"We did have one firefighter fall through a hole in the floor. He received minor injuries. There was no other injuries," said Battalion Chief Jason Brandt with Louisville Fire & Rescue.

Arson investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.

The Battalion Chief says they believe it may be an electrical fire.
