LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An active investigation of a two-year-old murder case is set to get a boost from an unnamed donor, who will reportedly offer a reward for information.

Charles Fambrough was 20-years-old when he was shot on Christmas Day in 2012. Fambrough died later at the hospital and for the past two years his murder has been a shock to friends and family.

The family says they are fearful that after two years with no answers the case is cold, but LMPD says they are still actively investigating the murder.

An event will be held Friday at 12:15 p.m. at the corner of 24th Street and Portland Avenue to announce the reward. The announcement will also include a toy drive for children affected by domestic violence.

If you have any information, you can call police at the anonymous tipline 574-LMPD.
