LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested after police say he kidnapped and robbed two adults early Tuesday morning.

According to an arrest report, it happened at a home on Wooded Creek Drive, just east of the intersection of Bardstown Road and S. Hurstbourne Parkway. Police say 18-year-old Franklin Bolton is accused of restraining two victims -- a man and a woman -- and holding them at knifepoint, threatening to kill them if they refused to cooperate.

Police say he handcuffed the woman, took her cell phone and car keys, then forced the man to get into the woman's car and drive him to another location.

It came to an end when police say Bolton tried to drive, then crashed the vehicle on Brentlinger Lane, near the interchange between Bardstown Road and the Gene Snyder Freeway.

Louisville Metro Police arrested Bolton just before 8:30 Monday morning, and he allegedly told them the whole thing started because he believed one of the victims owed him money.

He was charged with two counts of kidnapping and two counts of first degree robbery.
