Judge sets $25K bond for man accused of assaulting student in U of L dorm

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A U of L student accused of assaulting another student inside a dorm has pleaded not guilty. 

Police say Jarrod Rippy assaulted a woman inside Bettie Johnson Hall Wednesday morning.

Officers believe Rippy  may have been high on LSD when he found an unlocked dorm door, went inside, and assaulted the resident. 

Rippy is charged with burglary, assault and criminal mischief. His attorney says he is a freshman on an academic scholarship, 

The judge set Rippy's bond at $25,000, and said he is eligible to be released on home incarceration if he posts it. Rippy was also ordered to have no contact with the university.
