Fire crews respond to barn fire in Greenville, Indiana

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Multiple fire departments responded to a barn fire that happened on Saturday morning in Greenville, Indiana.

The fire happened in the 11000 block of Bear Creek Road in Greenville.

Officials say responders arrived at the scene at around 5:30 a.m. and found the structure engulfed in flames.

Crews from the Greenville Township Volunteer Fire Department, Lafayette Township Fire Department, Georgetown Township Fire Protection District and Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department all helped to fight the fire. 

The fire was contained within one hour. Officials say the barn was a total loss.

Authorities say that a family member stated that a couple of old tractors may have been inside the barn, but it is unclear what the full contents inside the barn were.

Investigators are working to find out what caused the fire.
