One victim stabbed, shooting victim arrested at apartment complex in Jeffersonville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Police responded to the scene of a stabbing and shooting in Jeffersonville on Saturday night.

Officials confirmed one person was stabbed multiple times and another person was shot in the shoulder during an altercation at the Folton Terrace Apartments on East Court Avenue. 

Jeffersonville Police Detective Todd Hollis said the person who was shot, 23-year-old Wesley James, was arrested after being treated and released from University Hospital.

Detective Hollis said James stabbed the victim between six and eight times. James is charged with aggravated battery, a level three felony, according to Detective Hollis. James is currently being held at the Clark County Jail.

The stabbing victim was also transported to University Hospital and was treated for injuries, Detective Hollis said.

Det. Hollis said the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be filed against more suspects.
