LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Shepherdsville Police have arrested two men weeks after Louisville Metro Police say they improperly disposed of a corpse.
It happened on Dec. 12. Louisville Metro Police say 27-year-old James Harvey and 28-year-old Nicholas Barker panicked when they realized that a person had died in the vehicle after an overdose.
Instead of notifying the authorities, police say Harvey and Barker pulled the victim out of their vehicle and left the body in an alley.
They then allegedly drove away.
A warrant was issued for their arrest on Jan. 7. Shepherdsville Police arrested the pair on Saturday afternoon at The Most Awesome Flea Market on Cedar Grove Road, near I-65, in Bullitt County.
They are both charged with abuse of a corpse. It is a misdemeanor charge.
