LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The race for the Republican nomination for governor just got more crowded.

Former Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Will Scott announced this morning he's running.

Scott says he supports expanded gaming to help pay for Kentucky's public pension obligation. He also wants charter schools and criminal justice reform.

He is the third Republican to enter the race, and says he's not worried about raising the money he needs to run a serious campaign.

Scott has chosen Former Menifee Co. Sheriff Rodney Coffey as his running mate.
