LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- No one was injured during an unusual landing at Louisville International Airport Tuesday night, when a plane had to land without wheels.

Airport spokesperson Trish Burke says it happened about eight p.m. after the pilot reported the landing gear would not deploy.

That pilot landed the twin-engine, King Air turbo-prop plane on its belly on the west runway, without any fire or fuel spill.

Crews helped eight people out of the plane and later used slings to lift the plane onto its wheels.

Officials have not said who was on board or its final destination.

The FAA website says the plane is registered to a company at the Clark County airport.

Burke says the emergency landing did not disrupt any other flights.
