LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Two teenagers died Sunday after falling through the ice of a rock quarry north of Spencer, Indiana.

Clark Shoemaker, 17 and Dominic Arthur, 14, were pronounced dead at IU Health Bloomington Hospital on Sunday afternoon.

When first responders got to the scene around 2 p.m., they found the two boys submerged in the water.

They had been in 11 feet of water for about an hour and a half.

Shoemaker and Arthur had been ice fishing with family members in rural Owen County.

The ice was about three inches thick.
