LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Bullitt County SWAT has taken one person into custody after a standoff Monday evening.

According to Shepherdsville Police, Scott Ray was taken into custody without incident. Ray has previously been convicted with third degree assault and wanton endangerment, but was released on shock probation.

Shortly after the standoff ended, the Shepherdsville Police Department announced that all roads would reopen in about 15 minutes.

Police say the situation began when Ray harmed a relative in some way. She left the scene and Ray threatened police. When the suspect was taken into custody, he was loaded into an ambulance to be checked out as a precaution. (Update 6:55 p.m.)

Original Story 4:59 p.m.:

According to reporter Toni Konz, police have converged on a home on River Oaks Drive, near Hwy. 44. Konz reports that there are numerous ambulances and police cars on the scene, and the road is blocked off at that location.

A spokesperson for Shepherdsville Police says officers were dispatched to the home on a report of domestic violence. Police say a man assaulted a woman there and threatened to shoot police officers.

The woman fled down the street to a relative's house and was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, according to police.

The man has barricaded himself inside the home. Police say there has been no contact with him since he threatened to shoot police officers. The Bullitt County Rapid Response team is also involved.

We're told several residents of the River Oaks subdivision are being told to shelter in place inside their homes. Conversely, people trying to get into the area are being denied access.
