LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The construction worker killed in the collapse of a Cincinnati overpass is from Kentucky.

Brandon Carl's mother, Sharon Carl, says her son had a bad feeling about his job.

"He really didn't like working at the site where he was at, said it was a lot of stress," she said.

The 35-year-old died when the ramp fell onto the southbound lanes of Interstate 75. Fire officials found Carl's body under rubble and had to use air bags and special equipment to recover it.

Transportation officials say heavy equipment was being used to separate a concrete deck from structural steel when the span fell Monday night.

A truck driver from Michigan was also hurt after slamming into the overpass debris. I-75 has since been reopened.
