Ind. lawmakers introduce bill to change testing for students

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana lawmakers want to change testing for Indiana students.

They've introduced a bill calling for the State Board of Education to revise Indiana's K-12 academic standards.

It also calls for selecting a nationally recognized set of exams for testing students by 2016.

Education officials are asking for an estimated $20 million increase to cover the cost of standardize testing.

One sponsor of the bill says that's too expensive.
