Local doctor's license temporarily suspended after five people die

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A local doctor has lost his license -- at least temporarily -- after he was charged in connection with the death of five people.

Jaime Guerrero is accused of prescribing oxycodone, hydrocodone and methadone to 30 patients without a legitimate medical reason. He is also charged with health care fraud.

Guerrero has offices in Louisville and Jeffersonville.

On Thursday, the Indiana Medical Licensing Board issued an emergency suspension of Guerrero's license. It will be effective for 90 days.
