Grayson County teens returned to Kentucky after five-state crime spree
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Two Grayson County teens are back in Kentucky after leaving a trail of crimes through five states.
Police in Florida found the couple asleep in a stolen pickup truck last weekend and Gray County Sheriff's deputies brought them back to Kentucky on Thursday.
Eighteen-year-old Dalton Hayes was brought before a judge upon his return to face charges of Burglary, custodial interference, theft, criminal trespassing, criminal mischief and rape -- according to Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins.
Hayes pleaded not guilty, he is being held at the Grayson County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond.
Cheyenne Phillips is 13-years-old and would be tried in juvenile court.
