LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested after police say they found 50 pounds of marijuana and over $40,000 in cash in a house.

According to an arrest report, it happened late Thursday night. Officers executed a search warrant at a home near the corner of E. Indian Trail and Kilmer Boulevard.

The target of that warrant, according to the report, was 52-year-old Erick Samuel Truitt.

As it happened, police say Truitt ran from the rear of the home and was apprehended a short distance away, on Shasta Trail.

Police say a search of the home recovered 50 pounds of marijuana, two shotguns, three handguns, four fake $100 bills and $42,000 of legitimate U.S. currency, "in various denominations" consistent with drug trafficking.

Truitt is a convicted felon and is not to have any contact with handguns, according to police.

He was arrested and charged with enhanced trafficking in marijuana, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of a forged instrument and fleeing police.
