Rev-A-Shelf moves operations into new facility

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville company that helps people organize their homes is doing its own re-organization.

Rev-A-Shelf just moved into a new 315,000 square foot facility in Blankenbaker Crossing. Now operations for the company are based there, instead of across three facilities.

The family-operated business makes products that are placed in cabinets for storage. Its first product in 1978 was a corner Lazy Susan.

"The plastics company has several molding operations that are outside of the city of Louisville and outside the state, so that was one of the options that we looked at, but working closely with the mayor and some of the folks from Kentucky, we worked close with them to try to keep the business here, and we were successful in doing so, so we're excited keeping it right down the road here," said Craig Jones, the company's president and CEO.

Jones says this new facility positions the company for future growth.
